Subconscious brain drip🐦
People often say "I came here to say this" as a way to emphasize their agreement with a point someone else has made. It’s meant to show solidarity or excitement, as if they were planning to contribute the same idea but someone else beat them to it.
However, it comes across as performative or unnecessary because it doesn’t actually add value to the discussion. Instead of elaborating or offering a new perspective, it just restates agreement in a way that’s redundant and sometimes self-centered ("look, I was thinking this too!").
It’s likely a mix of laziness and a desire to feel included in the conversation without putting in the effort to contribute something unique. Do you think people are even aware of how pointless it sounds? Or are they just following an online trend?
